Synthesis Architects was retained to design the new facility for the Boys and Girls Clubs in Schenectady, New York. The new 28,000 square foot, $13 million, multi-level facility features a 8,000 square foot gym for full court basketball and retractable bleachers, preforming arts theater, a two story program wing with younger members on the lower level, teens and administration on the upper level, design of full commercial kitchen plus design of a main public pathway which includes a drop-off in the front and control element to keep watch over the entries and other public areas. In addition to the design, other services provided by Synthesis included concept site plan, concept floor plans, concept elevations, exterior color rendering, preliminary zoning analysis, preliminary building code analysis, development of a cost estimate and a project schedule
