Moriah Central School District
Port Henry, New York
As part of a previous energy performance contract, the Moriah Central School had separated itself from the power grid and constructed an on-site cogeneration facility. Overtime, the District and community became burdened by rising fuel costs, cogeneration plant maintenance costs and the unpredictable performance of an aging plant. This capital project reconnected the school to the power grid.
Modernization of the pool and auditorium make these spaces viable for decades of continued use by the school and community.
