Dolgeville Central
School District
Dolgeville, New York
Like many upstate schools the James Green School in Dolgeville was comprised of several additions to the original mid-century school. These additions had resulted in lengthy, circuitous travel making it difficult for students to travel between classes in a timely manner. Reconfigured building circulation now provides more direct connections between program areas. Work also included a complete modernization of the kitchen and cafeterias, music area auditorium, locker room and fitness center renovations, and secure vestibules at building entries. Additionally, traffic safety improvements separated the parent drop-off lanes from bus areas, eliminating congestion which previously had resulted in a late start of the school day for many students.
